Hugsjá: Ivar Bjørnson and Einar Selvik release new album

Ivar Bjørnson and Einar Selvik have released the second album to appear from their Nordvegen project, entitled Hugsjá.

Enslaved's Ivar Bjørnson and Wardruna's Einar Selvik have joined forces once again - not just to perform to a live audience, but to take listeners from around the world on a musical journey along Norway's west coast.

"It’s hard to listen to the quietly grandiose music on offer here and not find oneself mentally transported on to the titanic Norwegian cliffs."
- Drowned in Sound

Released on the 20th April 2018, the album is entitled Hugsjá, meaning "to see with, or within, the mind". The record follows on from the pair's 2016 release, Skuggsjá, which was the first recorded result to appear from the duo's collaboration on the Nordvegen journey. The album has attracted widespread attention, as the pair prepare to embark on a Nordvegen tour as part of the Bergen International Festival. All performance dates can be found here, and reviews of the release can be found via the following outlets.
